A team of paediatric surgeons at the Children’s Hospital, Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS), carried out a successful surgery here on Saturday for removal of a tumour plastered to the intestines, spleen and kidney of a two-month-old baby girl.
The surgery, which lasted three hours, helped save all affected organs of the child and was conducted by Professor Zaheer Abassi, Dr. Khurrum Arif, Dr. Pervaiz, Dr. Amra and anaesthetists Dr. Rehmat Ali
