Rs3.12 billion released for HEC Islamabad: The Ministry of Finance has released Rs3.12 billion to Higher Education Commission (HEC) of Pakistan as development budget. The fund will be utilised to facilitate around 10,000 Pakistani scholars studying abroad.
No funds were issued for Pakistani scholars in international universities since February 2012 and there were rumours that foreign scholarship programme would be stopped if the government fails to release funds in time. The HEC
