Alleged shady deals and transactions in recent few years in the Employees Old-Age Benefits Institution (EOBI), has apparently ‘encouraged’ even low-paid employees to plunder the wealth of pensioners and workers.
Lack of accountability and audit emboldened an assistant to get Rs11.3 million transfer contributions, who after being caught red-handed, deposited back Rs4.919 million as a plea bargain to go away with the remaining booty.
