HYDERABAD, June 4: A ‘High dependency unit’ in the medicine unit no IV of the Liaquat University Hospital Jamshoro branch was inaugurated by the vice chancellor of Liaquat University Medical and Health Sciences (LUMHS) Prof Mashoor Alam Shah on Tuesday.
Speaking on the occasion, he said that a high dependency unit was for extensive care of patients but not to the extent of intensive care.
He said that patients requiring intensive care may be admitted to the new unit.
