Pakistan-India workshop ends

KARACHI : Former judges, lawyers and rights activists from India and Pakistan on the second day of a workshop agreed to form a legal network to launch public interest litigation (PIL) across South Asia and establish a ‘people’s tribunal of justice’ in the subcontinent to ‘morally punish’ the culprits and impart justice to the oppressed.

The tribunal and the legal network were proposed to be composed of social activists and lawyers from all South Asian countries to conduct inquiries
