PESHAWAR: The Peshawar High Court (PHC) on Wednesday directed Nepra to explain as under what law it had delegated its powers to the National Transmission and Dispatch Company (NTDC) to cut electricity from the provinces and carryout loadshedding.
A two-member bench comprising Chief Justice Dost Muhammad Khan and Justice Asadullah Khan Chamkani observed that under the law an institution could not delegate powers to a private company and thus the Nepra had violated the law in doing so.
