LAHORE: School, college and university teachers have condemned the withdrawal of 75 percent rebate on tax to teachers and researchers and have demanded the government to immediately withdraw the decision.
Punjab government has withdrawn the 75 percent rebate on the tax of teacher and researcher’s salaries in Budget 2013-14 after which teachers would have to pay 100 percent tax. Previously, teachers were paying only 25 percent tax on their salaries.
