The United Nations’ World Refugee Day will be observed today (Thursday) under the theme ‘Take 1 minute to support a family forced to flee’ to honour the strength and determination of those who left their homeland under the threat of conflict and violence.
There are over 43.7 million refugees and internally displaced people around the world and UNHCR provides lifesaving assistance and protection to 34 million of them. The people honour the spirit and courage of millions of refugees
