World Week of Education Students and non-student females, males stage walk
PESHAWAR : Women and students on Friday in connections with World Week of Education staged a walk to highlight the importance of female education.The walk organized under the auspices of a non-governmental organization was participated by a large number of non student men and women as well as students. They were carrying banners and placards inscribed with slogans in favour of female education.Addressing the participants, Balqis Ismail, Programme Manager, of Khawando Kore, a non-governmental organization, said that no country can make progress and development till provision of education to women and girls. She said that no society could make progress without the positive role of educated women.She urged the government to put more resources for women education and provide equal education facilities to them. She said that women required assistance and encouragement and beside religious education they should also be provided social information.Balqis Ismail urged the girls to acknowledge the need and fully concentrate on education to play role in the progress and development of the country in future. She demanded making female education compulsory and said only educated women could build the character of the youth of the F.P.Report
