No bird flu in Pakistan Pakistan Agricultural Research Council (PARC)’s National Reference Laboratory for Poultry Diseases (NRLPD)

No involvement of bird flu was recorded in the investigation carried out by the Pakistan Agricultural Research Council (PARC)’s National Reference Laboratory for Poultry Diseases (NRLPD) into high mortality of peacocks at Lahore and Rawalpindi Zoo.

The investigation report prepared in collaboration with Livestock and Dairy Development Department, Punjab, stated that no involvement of bird flu virus (avian influenza virus H5N1) was recorded in this investigation and Pakistan still stands
