A general body meeting of the Sindh University Teacher’s Association (SUTA) on Thursday demanded of the governor Sindh to hand over the post of vice chancellor to a “working professor” rather than a retired teacher.
Any person to be appointed for this senior-most position must have a PhD degree and should serve only one term, the meeting decided. After a suspension of 54 days, classes have partially resumed at the university and the protest camp at the Karachi Press Club
