Number of patients reaching Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences with gastro on the rise

Islamabad

 

The number of patients reaching Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) with gastroenteritis, water and food-borne bacterial infection, is on the rise since the setting in of post-winter season in the region.

 

“The PIMS emergency department has examined as many as 1,962 patients with gastro from March 1 to date and the number is continuously on the rise,” said Deputy Director at PIMS Dr. Wasim Ahmed Khwaja while talking to ‘The News’ on
