Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences receives large number of diabetics

Islamabad

 

Nearly 40 per cent of the total patients who visited the Medical Outpatient Department of Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) last month were found to be suffering from diabetes mellitus that indicates that the prevalence of the disease is continuously on the rise.

 

During last one month, the PIMS received over 6,000 patients who have been suffering from diabetes. According to Head of Medicine Department at PIMS, Professor Dr. Jamal Zafar,
