ISLAMABAD: Shifa International Hospital (SIH) Chief of Medicine & Gastroenterology Dr Nasir Khokhar on Wednesday said that hepatitis has become a devastating global healthcare issue.
Addressing a hepatitis awareness seminar organised by Shifa International Hospital in connection with World Hepatitis Day, Dr Nasir Khokhar said that around one million people die each year from hepatitis B (HBV) infection, making it the ninth leading cause of death in the world. 350 million people worldwide
