SAHIWAL, The district government imposed fines worth Rs30.84 million on 79 people during an ongoing campaign against gas and energy theft.
The fines were imposed during 102 joint raids by Mepco, SNGPL and district government officials during which 35 people were arrested.
The district government had recently developed a separate cell to unearth gas and power theft cases. It would receive “information” from various sources and after processing it the joint teams took action by taking
