LANDI KOTAL, The Khyber Agency education department on Sunday suspended a number of teachers for absenting from duty. The action coincided with the International Literacy Day.
The teachers were suspended during officials’ surprise visits to schools.
The Khyber Agency education officer Ateeq ur Rehman directed the male and female assistant agency education officers to conduct surprise raids at schools where teachers were not attending to their duties.
