Big news for UK social scientists this month: the Parliamentary Office of Science and Technology (POST) has launched a new division for us. POST, currently chaired by Adam Afriyie MP, has been advising policymakers on scientific evidence in areas ranging from life sciences to energy for 20 years, so this launch is a major recognition of the importance of social science evidence.
