Higher Education Commission chief stresses making higher education accessible

The chairman of the Higher Education Commission stressed the importance of paying increased attention to low education budget allocations and access to higher education in Pakistan.

 

Dr Javaid R Laghari said the country’s current enrolment rate of 7.8 percent of the youth between the ages of 17 and 23 puts Pakistan in line with some Sub-Saharan African countries.Laghari was addressing a gathering at the Governor House where the HEC and the USAID
