An exhibition of calligraphic art, furniture and jewellery items by Azeem Iqbal opens at Gallery Louvre today (Thursday).
“Iqbal’s calligraphic pieces are like Dostoevsky’s works, imbued with profundity of thought. It is a Japanese ‘NOH’ theatres’ soul searching for a concrete epiphany of the divine, and with such rapid changes in terms of mode and style that one is reminded of Pablo Picasso,” the gallery’s curator Alina Saeed stated.
