Magnitude 7.9 earthquake felt by natives

KARACHI: A major earthquake measuring 7.9 on the Richter scale jolted parts of the country on Tuesday, around 3.46 pm local time that lasted for around 15 seconds.
The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) recorded the intensity at 7.9 on Richter scale with a depth of 76 kilometres at latitude 26.65 and longitude 61.60 in Southern Iran.
After the tremor struck, Daily Times contacted PMD's Tsunami Early Warning Centre (TEWC) for updates, however the centre was out of power
