The Sindh government could go for setting up several smaller power generation plants of six to seven megawatts capacity each on the banks of canals at its large irrigation network in order to meet the electricity needs of agriculture sector of the province.
This option was discussed at a high-level meeting chaired by Syed Qaim Ali Shah at the Chief Minister House the other day to discuss the deliberations made at the recent meeting of the Council of Common
