KARACHI: As countries around the world celebrate World Population Day 2013, with focus on ‘Adolescent Pregnancy’, several seminars, moots and discussions have been arranged like every year. However, the ground realities in Pakistan remain the same, as population growth rate, which was 1.86 percent in 2007 has increased to 3.4 percent. There are also differences in the urban and rural practices when it comes to birth control, especially in adolescent marriage practices.
