Oil companies clarify report on defiance about Rs9 billion duty they have not deposited in a government account

Islamabad The oil companies have finally clarified the situation about Rs9 billion duty they have not deposited in a government account.An OCAC statement said: “This refers to a news item published in some newspapers on September 16, 2013 in which it has been wrongly depicted that refineries are defying government instructions by refusing to deposit in the ESCROW account the huge amount collected by them as deemed duty from end consumers of oil products.“OCAC on behalf of its members
