KARACHI, The Karachi Electric Supply Company (KESC) on Wednesday said that it had always adhered to Nepra guidelines “to follow economic dispatch/merit order of electricity in which gas generation is the first priority in order to maintain consumer tariff at affordable levels for all its consumers”.
In a statement, a KESC spokesman said: “In order to achieve this, the KESC has since 2009 invested $1 billion and installed 1,000 megawatts of new most efficient gas fired power
