SAHIWAL, District and Sessions Judge Hafeezullah Khan ordered on Sunday a judicial inquiry into the death of an under-trial prisoner at the DHQ Hospital on Saturday night.
Reports said that Furqan (30), of Chichawatni, had been booked in a robbery case some three months back. The jail doctor had shifted him to the DHQ Hospital after he was found unconscious in his barracks four days ago. On Saturday noon, Civil Lines ASI informed the jail administration about the death of Furqan.
