Commercialisation of higher education is ‘self-defeating’ School of Humanities, Arts, and Social Sciences, Habib University,

Blind marketisation of education and the commodification of knowledge must be avoided as they compromise quality and tend to make knowledge private property. This defeats the very aim of education, namely using it as an instrument for cultivating an intellectual and civil society.
