Karachi An ageing population brings with it a number of challenges such as easy and affordable access to health care, improving intergenerational solidarity and providing social support to the elderly.
“We are beginning to see an increase in the life span of our population with the increased availability of healthcare; nearly 10 per cent is over 55 years of age while another 35 per cent is between the ages of 25 and 54.”
