KARACHI, Over 170 undertrial prisoners facing trial in minor offences were released from the Karachi central prison and Malir district jail on Saturday by judicial magistrates.
The UTPs had sent applications to the district and sessions judges seeking bail, reduction in amount of sureties and pleading guilty.
The pleas were referred to the judicial magistrates concerned who visited the prisons, heard the applicants and issued release orders of the UTPs. Those who entered guilty pleas were
