Parliamentary Assembly of ECO Member States (PAECO) has been granted observer status in the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU). This decision was taken in the 129th General Assembly of the IPU being held in Geneva, according to a message received from Switzerland.
The motion in this regard was moved by the Speaker National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq which was supported by Iran, Turkey and other Member states of ECO. This is being termed as a major achievement of the Speaker National Assembly
