Sacrificial animals spread Congo virus Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS)

With Eid-ul-Azha getting closer, the risk of spread of Congo virus is rising as sellers are bringing sacrificial animals in huge numbers in twin cities of Islamabad and Rawalpindi. Doctors have also expressed concerns on keeping the animals in streets and open places, as it may cause the spread of Congo virus. They suggested that the cities' administrations should keep the animals away from the populated areas to some specific places.
