Govt to request PTA to block Skype, Tango, Viber and WhatsApp for three months

Just over a year after Pakistan blocked access to YouTube, the Sindh government has gone one step ahead. Citing “security concerns”, the province has decided to ban online instant messaging networks also.
Sindh will block access to Skype, Tango, Viber and WhatsApp among other internet-based communication services for three months in a bid to curb terrorism, officials said Thursday.
