The cancer curve how cancer detection and diagnosis rates

Data from Shaukat Khanum Memorial Hospital and Reseach Centre provides a clear picture of how cancer detection and diagnosis rates have increased in Pakistan over the last 18 years.

In 2010, the Shaukat Khanum Memorial Hospital recorded over 9,000 new patient registrations and more than 130,000 outpatient visits —almost three times that of 2000

In the last 10 years, chemotherapy sessions and radiation treatments registered a three-fold increase to 27,588 and 42,888 respectively.
