LAHORE, In the last seven years, all water projects executed by the Water and Power Development Authority (Wapda) in the country have suffered delay of five to 10 years, causing a cost overrun of staggering Rs229 billion.
According to the Wapda’s own latest record, these projects are still stuck at varying degrees of completion (from zero to 90 per cent) and the cost escalation represents only what has been spent till 2013. More delay in their completion means more money in the days, or
