Warm weather prolongs loadshedding National Power Control Centre (NPCC)

ISLAMABAD, After a brief gap of around one month, electricity loadshedding is back across the country due to unexpected surge in temperature.

Though the official loadshedding is eight hours daily, most of the urban areas in the country are facing up to ten hours outages whereas in rural areas the duration was much higher.

The electricity shortfall has surged to almost 5,000 megawatts on Monday with National Power Control Centre (NPCC) estimating the electricity demand around 17,000
