JPMC out-patient department (OPD) shut for an hour to protest doctors’ manhandling

Karachi

The doctors of the Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre stopped working at the out-patient department (OPD) of the hospital for an hour on Monday in protest against the manhandling of doctors.

The doctors shut down the OPD following a conflict between doctors and activists of a student organisation.Many patients had to return home unattended and dozens of scheduled operations were also deferred.
