Pro Dr Amin elected BVH, QMC board chairman
BAHAWALPUR: Former Bahawalpur Quaid-e-Azam Medical College principal Professor Dr Muhammad Amin was elected unopposed chairman of Board of Management (BOM) of Quaid-e-Azam Medical Collage (QMC) and Bahawal Victoria Hospital (BVH) on Tuesday.
Earlier, in the first meeting held on February 6, two candidates of chairmanship Malik Farrukh Mehmood and Dr Prof Muhammad Amin could not be elected. But in the second meeting Justice (Retd) Farrukh Mehmood proposed the name of Dr Prof Muhammad Amin for the board chairman. All the board members unanimously elected him. QMC and BVH doctors and professors termed the election suitable for the institution which is facing medicines shortage, mismanagement and irregularities.
DPO LEAVES CHARGE: Bahawalpur District Police Officer Dr Sohail Habib Tajik left the charge of DPO and went for NIPA senior management course after chief minister permitted him for the NIPA course. No new DPO has been posted so far. SP Traffic Police Ibrar Ahmad Khalil is working as acting DPO.
