BAHAWALPUR: Police claimed on Tuesday to have recovered the body of a 14-year-old boy who had disappeared about two weeks back.
Mahboob had left his house to sit exam of Class-VIII but he did not get back home after that. His father, Muhammad Saeed, filed a complaint with the Samasatta police station. Mahboob’s body was recovered from the area of Dera Nawab Sahib police.
The deceased’s father suspected that his two nephews had killed his son.
ELECTED: The new members of the board of management (BoM) of Quaid-i-Azam Medical College, Bahawal Victoria Hospital, and other allied medical institutions elected retired major Muhammad Amin, ex-principal and chief executive of QAMC, BVH, its chairman with a consensus.
Other private nominated members of the BoM will include retired Justice Malik Farrukh Mehmood, Prof Dr Khalida Shaukat, Prof Dr Riaz Mehmood, Dr Rana Muhammad Tariq and Sahibzada Azizur Rashid Abbasi while Principal QAMC Prof Dr Khawaja Haroon Khurshead Pasha, BVH MS Dr Irshad Qureshi and Dr Farhat Abbas will be among the official members of the board.
GATHERING: The annual gathering under the auspices of the Tanzeem-i-Islami began here on the Sutlej bank.
Tanzeem-i-Islami leaders said the dialogue with the Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) was the only solution to terrorism. He said religious parties should launch a movement for enforcement of Shariah in the country.
