CM announces medical college for home district under-construction District Headquarters Hospital (DHQ)

PESHAWAR: Announcing the establishment of medical college and up-gradation of the under-construction District Headquarters Hospital (DHQ) to teaching hospital in Nowshera district, Chief Minister Pervez Khattak on Tuesday directed the concerned authorities to initiate work on the projects from the next month.

A handout said that he was talking to a delegation of the District Bar Nowshera, which called on him under the leadership of Wajid Ali Khan advocate at the Chief Minister’s Secretariat.The chief minister assured the members of the delegation to resolve all the genuine problems of the lawyer community and approved the construction of a two-storey building with parking lot for the District Bar Nowshera by demolishing the old building of the bar.

On the demand of the delegation, he approved the establishment of a library and provision of medical facilities in the bar and directed the authorities of the Communication and Works and Health departments for taking immediate steps in this regard.

The Chief Minister Pervez Khattak had accorded approval to the establishment of two separate universities – Air University and Technical University – on a vast piece of land at Azakhel in Nowshera district on Monday.

Presiding over a meeting, the CM directed the concerned authorities to take necessary steps to expedite work on the projects and put them on ground in the shortest possible time, said a handout.The proposed air university would be established under the auspices of Pakistan Air Force while Technical University will be established by provincial industries department.
