fake messages complaint report
There are numerous complaints from people about receiving a message on mobile phones that they have been selected for a BISP assistance amounting to Rs25,000.
“The BISP has no link with fake massages being forwarded to the general public in which criminal elements try to deceive them,” said BISP Punjab Director-General Abdur Rehman Abid.
He said the massage was a cyber crime activity and the general public should be aware of this fraud practice.
“If anybody receives such fraudulent massages, he/she should report on 0800-26477 or the BISP office,” he said.
