Bribe for teachers duty during exams Rawalpindi Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (RBISE)

RAWALPINDI (Online): Teachers and their associations have voiced strong protest over bribe money being allegedly taken by corrupt elements of Rawalpindi Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (RBISE) for deployment of teachers as superintendent and deputy superintendent in the matric examination for 2014. Senior vice president of Punjab Teachers Union, Chaudhry Zafar alleged that teachers are being assigned the duties of superintendent and deputy superintendent in local schools in matric examination for 2014 by extorting Rs 5000 from each teacher which is unjust and tyrannical act. He said that one Tariq, an employee of RBISE had also asked him to pay Rs 5000 in connection with his deployment as superintendent in a local school but he had refused to pay bribery. Favorites are being inducted as superintendent and deputy superintendents in the schools so that they could help the relatives of Board’s employees who are appearing in the examination. RBISE controller Dr Omar Farooq refuted the charges of bribe taking saying that those teachers are leveling such false allegations who are being entrusted the duties in the districts other than Rawalpindi.. If some one takes bribery, such incident be reported immediately to us, we will take action, he added.
