Indian writer Vikram Seth discusses his works best-selling novels ‘A Suitable Boy’ and ‘An Equal Music’, ‘The Suitable Duo’ at Lahore Literary Festival

LAHORE Indian author of the best-selling novels ‘A Suitable Boy’ and ‘An Equal Music’, Vikram Seth discussed his works and love of poetry with Pakistani screen-play writer Nasreen Rehman in a session called ‘The Suitable Duo’ at Lahore Literary Festival, Hall 1 Alhamra Arts Council, The Mall, here on Friday. On a visit to Pakistan after six years, Vikram Seth spoke highly of the Lahori spirit and incredible reception of his books in Pakistan. The writer commented on the difficulties involved in cross-border interaction between India and Pakistan, saying that it was easier to make Pakistani and sub-continental friends abroad in Europe and America. Seth recited 18th century Urdu poet Mir Taqi Mir’s poetry.
