‘Love for the language’ must for development of Urdu literary academy in Pakistan: Murtaza Barlas

Islamabad Popularly known for his contemporary poetry, Murtaza Barlas enjoys equal respect among literary circles as well as in the bureaucratic fraternity. He is one of the pioneers of literary circles of Islamabad in mid-60s. He was also elected member of Majlis-e-Aamla of West Pakistan which initiated the idea of a literary academy in Pakistan on the lines of French Academy of Letters that was established in early seventies.


Murtaza Barlas came to Islamabad on a personal visit and this scribe got a chance to exclusively interview him.
