Michael Gove says removing Ofsted chief was not a political decision

 Raining men? Labour’s deputy leader said it was ‘raining men in the Conservative party’ after a series of high-profile women were given the boot by Gove and other ministers.

Michael Gove has defended his decision to remove the former Tony Blair aide Sally Morgan as chair of Ofsted as “good corporate practice” to ensure a fresh pair of eyes could take charge of the schools inspectorate.
