Pakistan, Egypt to cooperate in tourism cooperation agreement envisages promotion of tourism and investment including tourism training

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan and Egypt on Friday signed an accord on tourism cooperation.

The cooperation agreement titled ‘Executive programme on cooperation in the field of tourism for the years 2014 and 2015’ was signed by Egyptian envoy Said Hindam and Joint Secretary Economic Affairs Division Pervaiz Ahmed Junejo.

The agreement envisages promotion of tourism and investment including tourism training.

The various aspects of cooperation include exchange of publicity material, information, brochures, statistics, participation in tourism fairs and festivals.

Ambassador Hindam on this occasion said increased cooperation in the tourism sector would further strengthen relations between the two countries.

He called for chalking out plans for consultations on identifying additional areas of cooperation.

Mr Junejo hoped that the signed agreement would reinforce cooperation in the tourism sector, and provincial tourism departments and other stakeholders would implement it.
