LAHORE:(Online): Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif has said that promotion of education is essential for curbing the trend of extremism, therefore, Punjab government is spending billions of rupees on the uplift of education sector.
He said that funds will continue to be provided for the improvement of public sector schools. Announcing abolishment of the fund for the promotion of education collected voluntarily in public sector schools, the Chief Minister said that no such fund will be collect from children in future.

Rana Mashhood Ahmad Khan, Chief Secretary, Chairman Planning & Development, Secretary School Education, Secretary Literacy, Secretary Finance, concerned officers and educationists attended the meeting.
