Seminar on Family Planning 2020 ‘One dollar investment in population saves up to $6 to govt’

ISLAMABAD: Participants at a seminar on ‘Family Planning 2020’ on Tuesday said a one dollar investment in family planning will result the saving of 4 to 6 dollar in terms of infrastructure, requirement of a child.
Higher population growth is the root cause of all economic problems in Pakistan. If the government make proper population policy and implement it, then the future of Pakistan people will be much higher as compared to the current conditions. The seminar was arranged by Rahunma Family Planning Association of Pakistan. CEO of the Rahnuma told the participants that there are donors who are ready for funding to Pakistan but they required to present proper population policy, which the government unable to present. In terms of population indicators, there are 69 countries in the world, who are confronting higher population explosion at international level. Among these countries, he said Ghana, Uganda and Pakistan are the most poor in term of dealing population properly.
