BISE staffers warn of protest


FAISALABAD: The Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education Faisalabad Employees Welfare Association has warned of staging demonstrations against the vindictive steps of the board authorities.


In a statement here on Tuesday, Employees Welfare Association president Khalid Niazi and general secretary Abdul Jabbar cautioned the BISE officials to refrain from victimising the association members. They demanded immediate payment of allowances and arrears to the board employees.


PROPERTY TAX RECOVERY: The Excise and Taxation Department has recovered Rs 611 million under the head of property tax and Rs 41 million under the head of motor vehicle tax during the last one-and-a-half-month. The department also recovered Rs 11 million arrears under the head of professional tax and Rs 11 million under the head of hotel tax.
