Islamabad The City School believes in grooming its students into active and learned human beings of tomorrow’s society, for which an Educational Expo in form of Open Day titled ‘Learning is an Adventure’ was organised here on Saturday.
Seventeen branches from the Northern Region from Jhelum to Peshawar participated in the event in which students interacted with parents. People from different walks of life visited and witnessed the subjects being taught like Personal, Social and Emotional Development; Communication, Language and Literacy; Problem Solving, Reasoning and Numeracy; Knowledge and Understanding of the World; Physical Development and Creative Development.
Chief guest MNA Ayesha Gulalai visited and communicated with students about their academics. She appreciated students’ skills and appreciated administration and teachers’ efforts in this regard.
General Manager Early Years Education Mrs. Itrat Rubab shared that The City School’s aim is to become first choice of parents by ensuring them safe and conducive learning environment where they feel free to communicate and excel academically.
Famous Pakistani cricketer Sohail Tanveer graced the event as guest of honour who also appreciated the efforts of The City School Northern Region Team for organising the Open Day on the theme of ‘Learning is an Adventure,’ a platform to provide parents how their children are taught and the steps taken for the spread of intellectual learning and teaching.
Both guests thanked Mrs. Sadaf Naveed, headmistress of the PWD Branch, Islamabad, for inviting them over to witness such a well-organised function.
Early Years Open Day was a great success and provided full opportunity to people to discover how the six areas of learning and development in the early years nurture child’s social, emotional and academic development.
