LAHORE Punjab Minister for Education Rana Mashhood Ahmad Khan inaugurated annual exhibition based on MSc projects at the Govt College of Home Economics, Gulberg, on Friday. Farhat Mashhood, his wife, was also present on the occasion.
Mashhood appreciated the students’ efforts and announced that the Punjab government would set up a display centre at the college to further encourage the students. It would also prove to be a source of marketing their annual projects, he added.
The project-based textile designing, dying, screen, digital and block printing, batik, interior decoration, water and oil painting, tie and dye, calligraphy, sketching, renovation, restoration of furniture and market trends have been displayed in the exhibition. The research papers on the training and needs of the children, their diet and importance of healthy food have also displayed in the exhibition,
He said that the students of Home Economic College were participating voluntarily in coordinating the contests of cooking and dress designing in Punjab Youth Festival (PYF).
Principal Dr Samia Kalsoom, Vice-Principal Dr Ambareen Saghir, Exhibition Coordinator Shaheen Pervaiz and the students lauded this announcement.
