Karachi The director-general of parks and horticulture at the Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC), Tahir Jamal Durrani took strict notice of unsatisfactory cleanliness conditions around the Clifton Beach View Park on Wednesday.
He had been visiting various parks in the city to check their cleanliness and recreation facilities on directives of the KMC administrator Rauf Akhtar Farooqui.
During his visit to the Clifton park, Durrani warned the contractor to improve cleanliness in and around the park and ensure proper renovation of its large recreation facility by the sea.
“Parks are meant to provide better recreation facilities to citizens and must be maintained properly,” he remarked, while issuing directives for making arrangements for cleanliness and lighting in all KMC parks across the city.
He said that the citizens would soon the see the result of all necessary measures being taken to improve conditions of city’s parks, adding that his department would fulfill its responsibilities on preferential basis.
